Bullet Biters started their adventure in the crazy world of rock’n roll
back in 2004. Three guys living in a town called Oulu managed to get a
stinking rehearsal room from a dark and rude-sounding cellar from the
outskirts of town. From those days a huge progress has taken place in
everything involving this band…
The style of this band could be described as a some kind of mixture of
psychobilly and rockabilly music with few influences from garage and
surf, too. A typical set list would include 3-5 cover songs according
to original material that we’ve been composing since the beginning.
Usually this deeply artistic and nerve breaking songwriting process
starts from a simple guitar or bass riff or drum beat. After the basic
rhythm is rolling satisfyingly enough, some attention is paid to lyrics
as well. Twisted/black humor, crazy people and strange co-incidences
are good base for writing stuff. Singing about pink Cadillacs or fancy
looking shoes is not our cup of tea. On the other hand it’s all about
rock ‘n roll - and the main purpose is not to save the world or impress
people with artistic crap.
During the last years the Bullet Biters have been doing dozens of gigs
‘round Finland. These occasions have been everything from private
backyard drinking parties to large rock venue gigs. We’ve always been
concentrating more on rehearsing and songwriting than on getting as
much gigs as possible or wasting time on the phone or internet. If the
music doesn’t speak for itself in a positive way, it’s better to start
doing something else. Fortunately venue owners and party organizers
have contacted us quite often despite the lousy promoting!
There’s been no changes in the line-up which is:
Kazakhstan Playboy – double bass
Mihail the Morbid – guitar, vocals
Jake of Texas – drums
